Section of Abbott Street in Smiths Falls closed for road work

The Town of Smiths Falls has closed a portion of Abbott Street due to construction.
Abbott Street is now closed, between Lombard Street and Strathcona Street, to facilitate right-hand turn construction and infrastructure upgrades.
The closure is expected to remain in place for two weeks, and there are detours in place.
The township says delays are possible and motorists are asked to plan travel accordingly.
