Protests cancel film screening

Phone calls, a suspicious package and hand delivered protest letters cancelled a Tuesday night showing of a film critical of Iran.
The Free Thinking Film Society rented out the film room in the National Library to show the documentary, and despite protests, the film “Iranium” was set for it’s screening until the phone calls, package and letters cancelled it again.
A spokesperson for the film society told the Sun, “The Iranians have set something in motion and they are able to shut down a film in the capital of Canada. They obviously thought they could push someone around and they did.”
Police investigated the protests and deemed there was no danger.
