Rideau Canal opens downtown section

The Rideau Canal is opening up it’s downtown section for the first time this season. The National Capital Commission opened up the section from the NAC to the Concorde rest stop, meaning that 7 kilometres are now open from the NAC all the way to Dows Lake.

The NCC said it continues to work on opening the section from Dows Lake to the Hartwell Locks.
