OC Transpo driver caught texting and driving

An OC Transpo bus driver could be in a whole lot of trouble after a 15-year-old girl caught him on camera reportedly texting while driving along Woodroffe Avenue with passengers on-board.
The photo, though snapped in September 2010, was just sent to the Ottawa Citizen after three similar incidents came to light with bus drivers in Toronto.
A city spokesperson told the Citizen in a statement that OC Tranpo drivers, like everybody else, are prohibited from texting while operating a vehicle. The city added they will be investigating the incident.
Using a handheld device while driving, either for texting or any other purpose, was banned in 2009 across Ontario.
