Police warn about break-ins

The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a series of daytime residential break and enters in Blackburn Hamlet.
Since June 2010, there have been approximately 16 break-ins to homes in the area.
Police say typically, the suspect or suspects enter through rear doors and windows.
Jewelery, cash, collectibles and small electronics are being targeted. It is believed the suspects are on foot and possibly accessing yards from park areas.
Ottawa Police are asking residents to report any suspicious persons or canvassers.
