Mubarak steps down: VP Omar Suleiman issues statement

Egyptian Vice-President Omar Suleiman issued a statement on Friday, Feb. 11. He said President Hosni Mubarak has decided to “waive the office of the president of the republic.” The supreme council of the armed forces has been instructed to run the country.
