Tea light recall

A recall has been issued by Health Canada on tea lights sold by Pier 1 Imports because they could be a fire hazard.

No problems have been reported in Canada, but American customers have apparently said the candles have extremely large flames, and one person has been injured as a result.

In a media release, Health Canada says the affected candles are golden-painted tin cups sold in a set of five with either a red or light ornamental holder.

Approximately 30,000 were sold in Canada between September and January.
