Police service fees go up

It’s getting more expensive to get a record check from the police. The Ottawa Police Service has announced it is increasing its service fees by a dollar.

As of May 1, a police record check for working with the vulnerable will cost 15-dollars. A criminal background check will cost $50. The increased fees are part of the city’s 2011 budget.
