Fire destroys million-dollar home

Fifty firefighters and 21 fire trucks responded to a residential fire on Queenscourt Crescent around 11:30 Wednesday night.

Upon arrival, the structure was fully engulfed and fire fighters worked quickly to suppress the fire and protect exposures.

Damages are estimated at $1,000,000 for building and $500,000 for contents.

There were no fire fighter or civilian injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
