OPP to crack down on distracted driving starting Monday

Ontario Provincial Police are cracking down on drivers who text or eat at the wheel.

The force will launch a blitz against distracted driving starting Monday.

Ontario law prohibits motorists from using handheld devices such as cellphones while they drive.

But officers say other activities such as eating or applying makeup can also earn a distracted driving charge.
