Victoria Day long weekend: what’s open and closed?

With Victoria Day comes closures around the city.
Grocery stores, LCBO and Beer Store locations are closed for the holiday Monday while gardening centres remain open.
Shopping Centres are closed with the exception of the Rideau Centre which is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Stores in the Byward Market remain open.
City Hall and all client service centres are closed while the city’s 311 contact centre remains open for urgent matters. City operated child care centres are also closed.
There is no garbage collection and OC Transpo is running on a Sunday schedule.
City of Ottawa archives, arts centres, galleries, theatres and museums are closed. Check with the city’s website or the facility to confirm holiday hours, as some exceptions may apply.
