Quarterback school for BC Lions

SURREY (NEWS1130) – The BC Lions will kick-off their 2011 campaign this week starting with quarterback school that gets underway at their Surrey practice facility.
All six signed quarterbacks will attend a four-day school that includes on and off field sessions.
Rookies report to Vancouver on Wednesday and then they leave for Kamloops where they hit the field Thursday afternoon. Main camp starts on Sunday.
General manager Wally Buono expects running back Jamall Lee to start the season on the injured list because of off-season knee surgery.
Also receiver Paris Jackson won’t be very active in the first couple of weeks of training camp because of knee injury. He’s expected to start practicing with the team June 16th.
The Lions have also come to terms on contracts with all five of their draft picks who were taken in the Canadian College draft earlier this month.
The CFL Supplemental Draft took place today and the Lions selected Wilfrid Laurier defensive tackle Alex Ellis in the sixth round.
The Grey Cup game is being held in Vancouver this year.
