OC Transpo facing two multi-million dollar lawsuits

OC Transpo is looking at two lawsuits by passengers who have filed claims totalling $4.2-million.

Anne Petrie maintains she suffered torn cartilidge, a sprained knee, along with pain in her hip and back after falling on the bus in May 2009.

She claims the bus jerked forward and sent her sprawling.

And Joan Gauvreau needed reconstructive surgery on knee ligaments and now depends on a walker for mobility.

She fell on the bus when it accelerated suddenly.

Neither of the claims has been tested in court.
