The official start of the pick your own season for strawberries is underway. The Eastern Ontario Berry Growers Association says it’s a great outing for the whole family. Spokesperson Julie Findlay says the wet spring has helped create a bumper crop for this season. It’s also a great way to “eat local”. There are more than 30 berry growing farms in eastern Ontario.
