CFB Petawawa getting ready for a face lift

Major military investments are coming to CFB Petawawa. According to the Citizen, $830 million dollars will be spent on new buildings and infrastructure at the base over the next ten years.
$284 million will go towards preparing for the new helicopter squadron, including construction of a new heliport, fuel facilities and messages and communications centres.
The rest going to training quarters, facilities for light armoured vehicles, a new fire hall and other maintenance buildings.
Petawawa Mayor Bob Sweet called it a mini-boom for his community.
