Liberals waiting to unveil election platform

The Tories and New Democrats have released their election platforms, but Premier Dalton McGuinty says he’s in no hurry to join them.

McGuinty said the Liberal platform for the October 6th election will be released “in the fullness of time.”

The premier said it will be a natural extension of what his government has been doing over the last eight years to strengthen the economy and public services.

One thing McGuinty rules out is changing tack on the H-S-T.

He notes while the other two parties have promised to remove the provincial part of the tax on some items, they won’t scrap it entirely.
