Police identify body found in river

Police have identified a body found in the Ottawa River May 31.  20-year-old Jacob Lawson of Ottawa had been missing since May 11.

An autopsy confirms his death was a drowning and it is not considered suspicious.  He was identified by comparing dental records at a forensic center in Montreal.

According to the Citizen, police believe he fell into the river from a steep section of river bank near the Chaudière Bridge.
