Deadly Weekend in Ontario

Ontario Provincial Police will be on the roads, the waterways and in the air today as they extend their long weekend safety blitz to include July 4.    Many people are extending their long weekend with the U.S Independence Day holiday.     Since the O.P.P began their blitz on Thursday, 10 people have died, seven on the roads and three on waterways.        Staff Sergeant Dave Woodford says officers will be looking specifically for impaired drivers, distracted drivers and those not wearing their seatbelts.   O.P.P. will release the final tally on the blitz tomorrow.
