Two men drown during storm

Two men drowned in separate incidents during last nights vicious storm.

68-year-old Ronald Thompson of Ottawa drowned when his paddle boat overturned near Mayo, Quebec, northeast of Gatineau.

He had been at a show on a dock on Lake la Blanche and was on his way home when the storm hit.

Meanwhile a 61-year-old Quebec man drowned after a pontoon boat overturned on the Baskatong Reservoir, north of Ottawa.

Victor Guay was on the boat with three other people when the wind caused it to capsize.

The other people were rescued and taken to the hospital.
