Bizarre letters making North Van homeowners anxious

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Some homeowners in a quiet neighbourhood of North Vancouver are feeling anxious about some bizarre letters that someone’s been dropping in their mailboxes.
Police can’t figure out what the letters mean.
They contain random articles clipped from newspapers, mostly sports or current events stories that are scribbled with comments that don’t seem to make sense or have any logic.
“The articles are quite random, there’s really no direct threats made but what’s implied by the comments is that this person probably isn’t very stable at this point,” says Corporal Richard De Jong with the North Vancouver RCMP.
“As anyone can appreciate, it’s a bit unsettling. They’re not sure whether to take it personal or if it’s just some person who may have a mental illness.”
The homes targeted are in the Grand Boulevard area from 13th street to 16th but police don’t know why the neighbourhood is the focus.
They also don’t know whether the suspect lives in the area.
De Jong says the person is physically dropping the letters off but has so far not been seen by anyone.
Police are hoping other recipients come forward.
