Canadian Air and Space Museum artifacts face uncertain future

A Crown corporation has closed the Canadian Air and Space Museum in Toronto but what happens to artifacts remains to be seen.
The museum houses a full-scale replica of the Avro Arrow, a restored Lancaster bomber and a number of planes made by de Havilland Canada.
The building was the de Havilland factory where Tiger Moths, Beavers, Otters, Twin Otters and Mosquito bombers were made for years.
Museum chairman Ian McDougall says the group was behind on its rent by about $120-thousand but had begun generating more revenue and was in a position to begin making payments.
The museum in the city’s north end will be replaced by hockey rinks.
