Pipeline opponents have new ammunition

American opponents of Transcanada’s Keystone XL pipeline have some new ammunition in their fight to stop the project.
Friends of the Earth has obtained new emails suggesting a very friendly relationship between a Transcanada lobbyist and employees at the U.S. state department.
The environmental group says the emails prove the approval process for the pipeline is hopelessly corrupt.
The state department will decide the fate of the controversial pipeline that would carry oil from Alberta to Texas by the end of the year.
