Mini Stroke could lower life expectancy

A new study says having a so-called “mini stroke,” or T-I-A, could lower your life expectancy.
Researchers studied more than 22-thousand adults hospitalized with a T-I-A from July 2000 to June 2007 in New South Wales, Australia, and compared their death rates to those in the general population.
After nine years, the survival rate of T-I-A patients was 20 per cent lower than the general population.
The study is reported on the American Heart Association’s website and is in the journal ‘Stroke’.
