Dangerous offender hearing set for 24 year old repeat rapist

A 24 year old man guilty of two violent sexual assaults since he turned 18, will go through a dangerous offender hearing.

The Court heard that Kasagama Olimi repeatedly sexually assaulted two victims, each over several hours.

He was jailed for the first offence, and two months after his release from jail he sexually assaulted the second woman.

Olimi had vowed to give up drinking alcohol which he says lead him to not remember things. He also says he will stop hanging around friends who he says got him into trouble.

Two psychiatrists have been set to testify later this week.
