Bartholomew funeral to be held Monday

A funeral will be held in Grenada Monday for a 39-year-old Toronto man allegedly beaten to death by police.

The five officers charged with manslaughter in the death of Oscar Bartholomew were granted bail yesterday despite prosecution warnings of public unrest and potential vigilantism.

The constables did not speak or enter pleas, and will be released Friday if they can raise bail of about 38-thousand dollars each.
