The question of leadership continues to hang over the Liberal convention in Ottawa.
Thousands of delegates are debating a number of resolutions to try and rebuild the party after the historic loss in the last election.
Darryl is here from Kingston and tells 1310News the leadership issue is overshadowing the rebuilding process.
“I just don’t think that it’s at all time for us to be thinking about this. There’s way bigger things that we need to concentrate on,” he said.
Interim leader Bob Rae doesn’t deny he would go for it.
“As far as I’m concerned, I’m focusing on this job right now and in any event, there wouldn’t be a leadership race until 2013,” he said.
The future of the leadership race should be clearer after this convention because some party president candidates want to change the party rules to allow Rae to run.
Delegates vote for their new executive today with the results being announced tomorrow.
