Pedestrian struck at Beechwood and Champlain

A 78-year-old man is in hospital after he was struck by a vehicle at the corner of Beechwood and Champlain.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, where they found the man suffering from severe head and multi system trauma.

The man was taken to the Ottawa Trauma Centre in serious condition.

Police are investigating.
