Quebec students protest tuition fee hikes

College and university students in Quebec took to the streets Thursday morning.

150 students, all carrying signs, protested in front of Cégep de l’Outaouais in Hull and Gatineau.

The protest began at 7:45 a.m. and wrapped up at 9 a.m.

The demonstrations are part of rolling strikes across the province, to protest the Quebec government’s plan to nearly double tuition fees over the next ten years.

Classes were unaffected.
