Suspect in pants pulling attacks appears in court

OTTAWA – Wearing a bright orange police issued jumpsuit, 25-year old Gavin Sean Griffiths appeared in court Tuesday via videolink.
The Ottawa man was arrested in connection to a series of brazen sexual assaults over the last several weeks.
He stared at the ground the entire time only speaking to his lawyer and the judge.
The defence lawyer, Marie Josee Lafleur spoke to her client in private beforehand and then asked for all matters to resume on May 24th also via videolink.
He is facing 27 charges all in relation to the string of sexual assaults.
Eight in which the women had their pants pulled down and another where the victim was followed into an Alta Vista area school.
