OTTAWA, Ont. – Road closures along Bronson Avenue between Gladstone and Laurier Avenues are now in place.
Bronson will be closed from Gladstone to Somerset for approximately nine weeks. Bronson from Somerset to Laurier will be closed for approximately six months. The Bronson and Somerset intersection will reopen in June.
Bronson’s north and southbound traffic will be detoured using Kent and Lyon Streets. Somerset will be restricted to local traffic between Arthur and Percy Streets, with no access across Bronson. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be detoured using Booth, Gladstone, Kent and Lyon.
Businesses remain open and alternate routes for OC Transpo have also been established.
The Bronson Avenue renewal is a two-year $30 million project that will replace water and sewer pipes that are in some cases more than 100 years old.
