Tommy and Lefebvre bought by Sporting Life

OTTAWA – A local sporting goods chain with a long history has been bought out by a company from Toronto.
Tommy and Lefebvre has been purchased by Sporting Life. Terms of the acquisition were not released.
In a news release, Sporting Life says Tommy & Lefebvre will continue to operate for at least the next year with its current management and sales force. When Sporting Life opens at Lansdowne Park in the Fall of 2014, the Tommy and Lefebvre team will move to the new store.
Tommy and Lefebvre was founded in Ottawa in 1958, by Art and Andy Tommy and Reg Lefebvre.
