RV catches fire on Highway 416

OTTAWA – An RV caught fire on Highway 416, Friday afternoon, causing delays but fortunately no injuries.

The RV was on the northbound side of the highway, near Hunt Club, when it went up in flames.

Northbound traffic was stopped near the fire, and vehicles were backed up all the way to Fallowfield while emergency crews fought the flames.

A couple who were inside the RV got out without any injuries.

There’s no word yet what caused the fire.
