Man charged in Orleans stabbing to make court appearance

OTTAWA – The man charged in the stabbing of Michael Wassill will be in court Wednesday.

Carson Morin, 20, faces a charge of first-degree murder.

Michael, 20, was stabbed at his home in Orleans back in May, while protecting a female friend who had been staying at his home. Wassill underwent lengthy surgery and was expected to recover, but he had suffered irreversible brain damage.

Michael died in hospital eight days after he was stabbed.
