First weekend of Bluesfest underway!

OTTAWA – RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest is officially underway!
The capital’s heat alert couldn’t keep away die-hard music fans, who lined up outside the gates at Lebreton Flats before the scheduled opening at 5 p.m., Thursday.
More than 25,000 people attended the first of ten nights of music, taking in acts like Jimmy Eat World, Grand Funk Railroad and the Black Keys.
The Dixie Chicks are reuniting to headline the Bluesfest main stage Saturday night.
Other performers this weekend include, Fun., Hunter Hayes, Wu-Tang Clan and Tegan and Sara.
