Bluesfest heads into final weekend

OTTAWA – Fans of The Tragically Hip packed the grounds of Lebreton Flats Thursday as the Kingston rockers headlined day seven of RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest.

The forecast is looking perfect for the final weekend of the festival, with sunny skies and highs around the 30 degree mark.

Great Big Sea is Friday’s headliners; the Newfoundland natives best known for hits like When I’m Up and Ordinary Day, will be on the main stage at 9:30 p.m. Matt Good performs on the main stage at 7 p.m.

You can catch Ilvekyo on the Claridge Stage at 6 p.m., followed by The Waterboys at 8 p.m.

Bjork headlines the main stage on Saturday at 9:30 p.m., while Alice in Chains, Skrillex and B.B. King are among the acts set to close out the weekend on Sunday.
