Tokyo named as the host city of 2020 Olympics

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – Tokyo has been named as the host city for the 2020 Olympics.

Tokyo beat out Istanbul for the right to host the Games in Saturday’s final round of voting by the IOC.

Madrid was eliminated in the first round of voting.
