Cobden couple facing animal cruelty charges

OTTAWA – A Cobden couple face animal cruelty charges after over 45 reptiles were removed from their property last month.

The reptiles, including bearded dragons, snakes, lizards and an American alligator, were found in poor living conditions without adequate care, according to the Ontario SPCA.

The man and woman are facing 35 counts each of animal cruelty under the Ontario SPCA Act.
