Expanded Gloucester Fair gets new name

OTTAWA – The Gloucester Fair has a new look, a new date and a new name to match.

The newly-dubbed Capital Fair will run from Aug. 15 to Aug. 24 at the Rideau Carleton Entertainment Centre.

The fair which originally ran in May has doubled in size, with 30 midway rides.

The event’s new name was chosen by contest.

The winner, Kenny Duplessis of North Bay, took home $500 as well as midway passes for each member of his family.
