Hwy 15 re-opens, three-vehicle crash sends three to hospital

SMITHS FALLS – Highway 15 north of Smiths Falls was closed for nearly ten hours after a three-vehicle crash sent three people hospital Wednesday morning.

The crash happened between Ford Road and MacPherson Road around 8:05 a.m., after a vehicle was reportedly trying to pass another and slammed into an oncoming vehicle.

Fire crews had to extricate two people to be taken to hospital.

The extent of the injuries of the three people are not known at this point.

Lanark County OPP said their investigation continues.
