Canada Day celebrations go on despite tornado warning

OTTAWA- A tornado warning caused some panic for everyone celebrating Canada Day on Parliament Hill.
A storm tore through western Quebec damaging cottages in Quyon. Environment Canada would not confirm if a tornado touched down in that area, despite reports from residents there.
Fortunately, the weather did not ruin the birthday bash downtown.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper addressed the crowds honouring the troops and the mounties killed last month in Moncton.
The musical acts put on a great show. Serena Ryder and country act Brett Kissel both took the stage.
Overall it was an incredible party and everyone was well behaved.
Ottawa police say seven arrests were made on Canada day, only one of those was criminal.
Paramedics were busy with 200 calls on Canada Day.
