Ottawa man faces child pornography and luring charges

OTTAWA — An Ottawa man faces more child luring and child pornography charges after police investigated his online activities.

Brendan David Clark, 31, faces three counts of luring a child under the age of 18, three counts of possession of child porn, three counts of making child pornography and one count of distribution.

Police say they found pornographic images of youth between the ages of 12 and 16 on Clark’s computer.

Police believe there could be more victims and are urging them to come forward.

Clark had initially been charged in December 2013 after allegedly communicating with an undercover officer who had been posing as an adult female.

Clark had requested to have sex with her and her two young children, and was subsequently arrested at a hotel downtown where he arranged to meet the woman and her kids.

At the time he was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of making arrangements to commit a sexual offence against a child.

Police are asking anyone with information on more potential victims to call the Internet Child Exploitation Unit or Crime Stoppers.
