23 year old Orleans man facing gun charges

OTTAWA – A 23 year-old man has been arrested and charged after police searched a home in Orleans on Thursday.

Police and the Guns and Gangs Unit seized a 9 mm handgun and ammunition following a search of a home in the 1800 block of Axminster Court.

Michael Levy is facing the following charges;

– Use/handle/store firearm carelessly
– Possess weapon dangerous to public peace
– Possess restricted firearm without holding a license
– Possess restricted firearm knowing not holding a license
– Possess loaded regulated firearm
– Possess firearm obtained by crime

Levy is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
