Fire leaves 75 people homeless, many students

OTTAWA – A fire near Algonquin College has left 75 people homeless, many of them students.
There were 39 apartments destroyed in the blaze Saturday afternoon at 4 Deerfield Dr.
The college is now working to find temporary residences for students affected by the fire, while Minto Housing, which owns the building, and The Red Cross try to find temporary homes for others affected.
There is still no word on how the fire started, or the official damage estimate.
