Ministry of labour investigating fatal workplace accident in Blackburn Hamlet

OTTAWA – The Ministry of Labour has been called in to investigate a fatal workplace accident in Blackburn Hamlet.
Crews were called to a construction site near Innes Road and Gravelle Cresent around 2 p.m. Tuesday, where a man had fallen from the roof.
Paramedics found the 47-year-old man in cardiac arrest when they arrived at the scene. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
It is not yet known what caused his fall.
The worker belonged to Lavergne Roofing.
