Updated plans revealed for Canada Science and Technology Museum

OTTAWA — When the Canada Science and Technology Museum reopens in November, 2017, it will be a bigger attraction — showcasing many more artifacts than it’s been able to in the past.
Plans revealed Monday show an additional 3,000 square feet of exhibition space, and over 80,000 square feet in total.
There will be five main galleries, including one specifically for children, and visitor-favourite the Crazy Kitchen will remain part of the museum.

The upgrade will cost $80.5 millions, with that money announced by the former Conservative government.
The plans were unveiled Monday at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, which is getting ready for something rather big as well: the Star Trek Starfleet Academy Experience will be there from May until the end of September 2016.
