LONDON – Alan Rickman, who has died of cancer aged 69, was a great Hollywood screen villain, but also a versatile and acclaimed stage and screen actor. Here are some of his major roles:
Stage:
“Les Liaisons Dangereuses” (1985) — Le Vicomte de Valmont,
“Antony and Cleopatra” (1998) — Mark Antony (opposite Helen Mirren)

“Die Hard” (1988) — Hans Gruber
“Truly Madly Deeply” (1990) — Jamie
