Police identify suspect in OC Transpo mace attack

OTTAWA – Police have identified a suspect, after a passenger was maced by a man on an OC Transpo bus.

It happened Wednesday afternoon on a number 96 bus on Slater Street, near the intersection of Bank Street. Police say a man sprayed a victim in the face with pepper-spray, then fled the bus with a woman.

Other passengers were also affected by the mace, and were treated at the scene, but none were taken to hospital.

Police say the suspect was identified after the media published images from the bus.

His name has not been released.
