Two evacuated after house fire in Glebe

OTTAWA – Firefighters worked to extinguish a fire at a home in the Glebe Saturday morning.

Firefighters responded to a call of smoke visible at the home at 218 Strathcona Ave. just before 11 a.m.

The fire broke out in the basement of the three-storey home and two people were evacuated.

No one was injured.

Firefighters had the fire under control by 11:30 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
