Humane Society dealing with annual kitten boom

OTTAWA – If it’s something you’ve been considering, now might be a good time to add a furry friend to your home.
Its wall-to-wall cats at the Ottawa Humane Society.
The shelter tells Postmedia, there is an annual kitten boom in the spring and summer months.
This year, 583 kittens have arrived since April 1. The shelter says the reason is obvious —- cats simply do more mating in the warmer weather.
The Humane Society is again reminding us to spay and neuter our pets, and to always keep cats indoors.
