OTTAWA – Two people have been taken into custody in connection to a shooting at 1993 Jasmine Crescent.

Police responded to the scene early Tuesday morning, and quickly evacuated the building.

Tanya lives in the building and tells 1310 NEWS that police were banging on her door at 8 a.m., telling her to get out.

She says police had their guns drawn.

Another neighbour says she was “scared to death” when police banged on her door, waking her up and telling her to get out.

Everyone has since been allowed back inside the building.
